美達菲學校(The MacDuffie School)由哈佛大學畢業的美達菲夫婦創立于1890年,至今已有130年歷史。上海美達菲秉承著“懷中國心,做世界人”的辦學理念,圍繞著美達菲傳統的六大核心價值觀:“集體”、“正直”、“尊重”、“創造力”、“領導力”、“卓越”這六大核心價值觀,不斷在傳承中發展、創新,舉辦了一系列精彩紛呈的校內外活動。

The MacDuffie School was founded in 1890 by the MacDuffie couple who graduated from Havard University. Till now, it has a 130-years history. On the 130th anniversary of the MacDuffie School, Shanghai MacDuffie held a series of activities according to the philosophy "with Chinese heart, be a world citizen", as well as the six circle values: community, integrity, respect, creativity, leadership, and excellence.

Annual Activities


除了美達菲傳統活動,美達菲學校立足上海,推出了一系列為學子們量身打造的特色活動。例如:暖冬義賣、雙旦晚會、新生營地,以及每月的固定項目:遠足、辯論、讀書分享、思維訓練和志愿者活動。

In addition to the MacDuffie traditional activities, based in Shanghai, the school has also launched a series of special activities for students. For example: Warm Winter Charity Sale, New Year Party, Freshman Camp, and monthly fixed projects such as hiking, debate, book sharing, critical thinking and volunteer activities.

新學期活動掠影
New Semester Activities

新學期伊始,同學們就在校長和各位老師的帶領下,積極地投入到了體育運動和校園活動當中。每天早上,迎著朝陽,同學們就在操場上開始了一天的鍛煉。清晨時分,校園內的沉寂被同學們的青春與活力打破。而每天下午的社團活動時間,同學們在操場上揮灑著汗水的同時,也在STEM俱樂部、心理社、藝術社、戲劇社、日語社等社團中展現了自己的學術才能和動手能力。

At the beginning of this new semester, under the principal and teachers' leadership, the students actively participated in various sports and campus activities. Every morning, facing the sunrise, the students start a new day on the playground. The silence on the campus is always broken by students' youth and vitality. Besides, during the club hour every afternoon, students demonstrate their academic talents and practical skills in the STEM club, psychology club, art club, drama club, and Japanese club, etc.


本周,美達菲學子們還積極參與到了辯論比賽和十公里遠足當中。辯論比賽培養的是同學們的思維和邏輯能力,更能提高大家的即興演講能力;而十公里遠足在豐富同學們學業生活的同時,也提高了大家運動的積極性和堅持不懈的精神,為同學們繼續投入緊張的學習中做準備。

This week, MacDuffie students also actively participated in the debate competition and the 10-kilometer hiking. The debate competition cultivated students’ thinking and logic skills, as well as improved their speech competence. Meanwhile, the 10-kilometer hiking enriched students’ academic life and enhanced their enthusiasm and perseverance. In this way, students would be able to continue to devote themselves to intense study again.

Summary

“運動引領德育,活動挖掘潛能”。同學們在運動中發現自我,磨練意志,提高自我管理的能力,促進積極校園風氣的養成;另一方面,他們又在各種校園活動中不斷探索,挖掘自己無限的潛能。

"Sports lead moral education; activities stimulate potential." Students will discover themselves in sports, gradually improve their self-management ability, and promote a positive campus atmosphere. On the other hand, they will continue to explore themselves and dig out their unlimited potential.
